Today, the team includes Chris, a skilled support engineer with over 15 years of experience helping businesses resolve IT issues quickly and efficiently. Together, we offer friendly, expert support with the depth to handle both day-to-day troubleshooting and high-level strategy.

Ray’s Story
One guy, two decades of experience, and a mission to fix broken IT
Ray has been immersed in technology for well over 20 years — long before hybrid work, ransomware, or cloud-first became the norm. But while the tools have changed, his motivation never has: helping people and solving problems.
After working across a wide range of industries and seeing how poorly most SMEs were being served, he launched bluecoat IT in 2020 — right before the world went remote overnight. With a focus on clear strategy, no-nonsense support, and security-first thinking, Ray set out to build the kind of IT company he always wished existed.
Today, bluecoat IT supports growing businesses across South Africa, combining personal service with deep technical know-how — and just the right amount of healthy obsession.
